Since its creation, GIT has always supported humanitarian and sporting projects.

logo-association-partage PARTAGE is a non-profit association founded in 2005. Its founding members are: the Salvation Army, Le CARE, Caritas Genève, les Colis du Cœur and Emmaüs.

The association's aims and activities are as follows:

  • the daily collection, sorting, storage and packaging of food and hygiene products supplied by over 260 companies,
  • free distribution to associations and social services in the canton of Geneva,
  • the collection of uneaten ready-made meals from institutions,
  • daily production of soup from surplus vegetables, delivered to beneficiaries during the day,
  • offering services to public authorities and businesses,
  • the co-organization of the biannual "Samedi du partage" food drive in Geneva supermarkets.

GIT has been supporting PARTAGE since it was founded, providing ongoing IT and website support, as well as one-off initiatives. To mark its 30th anniversary, GIT decided to donate a refrigerated truck to the association.

PARTAGE needs support every day: help them, make a donation or become a volunteer!

jeremy-desplanches-sponsor-git GIT's involvement with Jérémy DESPLANCHES is a continuation of previous sponsorships, such as that offered to Swan Oberson, freestyle swimmer and 2011 world champion who competed in the 2012 London Olympics.

Through its support for Jérémy Desplanches, GIT is reaffirming its commitment to the values conveyed by sport: respect, honesty, commitment, excellence, education, interpersonal skills and building a life project around these values.

GIT also communicates its commitment to sport to the public and its support for a young hopeful in Swiss sport.

logo-terre-des-hommes-suisse TERRE DES HOMMES SUISSE has two sections, one in Geneva and the other in Basel, both working to defend and promote children's rights. Volunteers play an important role in the organization of the French-speaking section, providing essential support for their movement and projects.

GIT supports the Marche de l'Espoir, a flagship event organized since 1990 by Terre des Hommes, every2nd Sunday in October in Geneva. This event brings together thousands of young people from the canton and neighbouring France, in solidarity with underprivileged children and families in the South. Each year, a different country and a different theme related to children's rights are highlighted as part of the awareness-raising work carried out in schools beforehand.
